The Lotus is rooted in mud, and grows through a murky pond to find the surface and bloom into a beautiful flower. Once out of the muddy water, the Lotus blooms one petal at a time, slowly and steadily, just like we do.
So often we are faced with challenges in our own murky ponds, feeling stuck in the mud. Counseling can be a support in finding our way through the murky water. Inside the therapeutic relationship you will find the capacity to bloom, one petal at a time in the sunlight.
Life can be challenging and unpredictable. Experiences such as the loss of a loved one, parenting struggles, unwanted feelings and memories, difficult life transitions can leave us feeling overwhelmed. It can be hard to know where to start; and you do not have to do it all alone.
Therapy can be a meaningful and messy process, my goal in therapy is to establish a warm, safe, and supportive environment to work through it all. Together will collaborate on goals that are meaningful for you, and I will provided resources and support to empower you in achieving your goals.

I draw from a number of strength-based theories including Solution Focused (SFBT), Narrative therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). My entire practice and philosophy uses a Trauma Responsive lens.
The majority of my practice is working with adults, I have found a love for working with parents of young children ages 0-5 who have experienced trauma. I am rostered for Child Parent Psychotherapy. I am also Endorsed by the Infant Mental Health Association and am an active member of the Hawaii Chapter (AIMH-HI). I am also a Certified ABC coach and an Infant Massage Instructor.
